Lotasmoke runs on volunteers — we need a lot of them, and they make this event possible.
Volunteer Roles
Some roles need a specific skill; most just need a good attitude and a few hours.
BBQ Judges
Score entries on appearance, taste, and tenderness across the four KCBS categories. No experience required — training provided on-site.
Parking & Gate
Direct traffic, check parking passes, and keep the entrance moving smoothly all weekend.
Help Tent
Staff the information/help tent — answer questions, hand out schedules, point people toward the biergarten.
Clean-Up Crew
Sunday morning, 8–11 AM — help get the airfield back in shape before move-out.
